Neutrality
He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
Matthew 12:30 (NAS)
The Bible contains many startling truths; they startle us because they differ so greatly from life as we know it on earth.

One myth-popping, compromise-stopping, grey-scale cropping truth is God's 'no neutral zone.' Right choices are painfully clear, but clearly hard.

'I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live' (Deuteronomy 30:19). Our God is an all-consuming God. He demands whole-heartedness and does not recognize neutrality. Neither does His Son, Jesus:

'So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of My Mouth' (Revelation 3:16).

God forbids sitting on a fence or remaining silent; laying low or quenching a flame; listening to gossip or watching a crime. He closes the door on half-hearted Christians who say 'yes' on Sunday and 'no' on Monday.

Better to be a stone-cold atheist. Why? Because an atheist is not a hypocrite--and breaking through ice is easier than kindling a flame in tepid water.

Therefore, God blesses the movement of actors, models and talent for Christ. They move beyond the neutral zone in many churches and carry the gifts of the King into a foreign land: media.

The result? 'The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them' (Matthew 11:5).
