Paul's Powerful Priorities (Part 13)
The Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the Seed, Apollos watered It, but God has been making It grow.
1 Corinthians 3:5-6 (NIV)
The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree...
Matthew 13:31-32 (NKJV)
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

John 4:35-36 (NKJV)
Farmers depend on the miracle of a seed becoming a plant. Mankind depends on the miracle of plants becoming sustenance, like oxygen, food, shelter, clothing, warmth, medicine and tools. Salvation depends on the miracle of God's Word transforming our lives.

Planting (or sowing) is high on God's priority list.* Because planting is necessary for transformation to begin. If a seed lays down in a bag, if a seed sits among seeds, if a seed falls by the wayside, then a seed remains a seed and nothing more: potential without growth.

In the Parable of the Sower, the Seed is God's Word, Who is Jesus. In the Parables of the Growing Seed and the Mustard Seed, the Seed is the Kingdom of God. If the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit unite to form the Trinity, then these Seeds become man's Lifelines to Heaven.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: if you carry God's Spirit, then you carry God's Seed. When you speak of the Lord in a positive light, you cast this Seed. Whether the hearts It touches are stony, crowded or open, you've given of The Best of yourselves to others.

Paul did a lot of sowing. He traveled many places, shared God's Word, and planted new churches. Other church leaders followed Paul's planting. They discipled new believers in a ministry of tending, teaching, encouragement and correction.**

As performers, you are planters, too. Your witness in media is more important than you know. If God's Spirit can travel from you to your fans, then consider His movement to be subliminal messaging of the highest Order.*** When you speak directly or indirectly, He's in it.

*** CAUTION: Many disturbing articles and videos are surfacing re: subliminal messaging of the lowest order: s_xual, satanic and illuminati images planted in modern media, including our children's cartoons. Even or especially from famous names like Disney and Nickelodeon. I hesitate to include links, but if you Google "subliminal messaging" or "subliminal message cartoons," you can judge the matter for yourself.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
