Practice Makes Perfect: Graduation Prep
Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
1 John 3:7 (NKJV)
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of faith...
Hebrews 12:2 (NASB)
Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 5:48 (NKJV)
If life is a journey we take, step by step we move. If life is meant to mature us, day by day we grow. If life is a school we attend, test by test we learn. If life is a food that we eat, bite by bite we change.

If life is the people we touch, hand by hand we shape. If life is the Light we reflect, glow by glow we shine. If life is the sum of our deeds, it all adds up--or down.

Any way you look at it, our habits are important.

Every thought, decision, word, bite, action, reaction, prayer and minute matter more than we know. Nothing is private. What's done in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. Every secret we hold is known in the heavenly realms... and will come to be known on earth.

Without exception, from the moment we're born, each person on earth is headed to graduation: the instant when God's promise of immortality becomes our reality. The choice of our permanent residency depends on two things:

1) Our love of God and belief in His Son with whole hearts, souls, minds and strength.*

2) Our love of our neighbors and kin in Christ, as evidenced by our practices.**

Actors, models and talent for Christ: Acting is the foundation of the entertainment industry. Both the King of kings and the kings of media agree on one truth: talents are increased or diminished by the quantity and quality of your practice.

## Practice Makes Perfect: Graduation Prep (Part 1)

* I am also a firm believer in late or deathbed salvation, as evidenced by the sinner on the cross next to Jesus:

In addition, I believe our God of perfect justice will give every person on earth a fair chance to know the Truth and follow Jesus.

** Consider The Parable of the Talents, the last Parable told by Jesus:

NOTE: This series is a republished edit of a 2014 series called, 'Practice Makes Perfect.' In these devotions, you may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' I have not changed this designation. Because in a greater sense, every disciple of Christ acts for Christ, models Christ and stewards His talents, from which God expects a profit.

P.S. To read the other devotions in this series, please see the Practice Makes Perfect series.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
