Prayer Warriors (Part 2)
Rising Stars
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Matthew 5:14 (NKJV)
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights.
James 1:17 (NKJV)
Right now, God's stars are shining in a new way. Clouds of discrimination are lifting. 'The prince of the power of the air' (Ephesians 2:2), who is Satan, cannot stop this breakthrough of light. It is ordained by 'The Lord of Hosts' (272 Bible references to this Name).

I believe the 'Father of lies' (John 8:44) lies even to himself--and surely to his troops: 'We can win this war.' But Jesus already won it. His delay to reclaim Earth's throne has a perfect purpose. But don't let His delay fool you, too.

'Behold I am coming quickly' (Revelation 3:11, 22:7,12,20). Therefore, God's plan accelerates before our very eyes. It's a miraculous movement.

Publicly professing Christians have won American Idol, The Voice, and the Super Bowl. The 2013 finale of Duck Dynasty* had 9.6 million viewers--edging out American Idol. 'The Bible' miniseries topped The Walking Dead to become the year's most watched cable show.

Is it a coincidence that God's stars are beating up on idols and zombies?

Les Miserables, the world's longest running musical, carries a strong Christian message. Its new film showed nicely at the 2013 Academy Awards. A young singer from AMTC is also showing nicely, in the touring role of Gavroche.**

The favor of the Lord is upon His performers. It's like a golden ticket from God. It's coming upon actors, models and talent for Christ. That others may see Him in them--and live. God is raising His stars in media to a 'Royal position for such a time as this' (Esther 4:14).

Therefore, value your role. Become His stars and pass on the glory.

But while you're performing in public, pray in private. Because prayer is where the real power of the Lord is unleashed. Power beyond our comprehension follows your quiet times with God.

Jesus said, 'I can of Myself do nothing' (John 5:30). 'So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed' (Luke 5:16).

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
