Prisoners Of Hope
Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.
Zechariah 9:12 (NKJV)
If you believe in God's promises without seeing them fulfilled, you are a prisoner of hope. You are one who chooses to stay bound to your hope, even when it seems 'hopeless.'

It's impossible to hope too long--because hope has no end. It's never time to give up hope and move on from a particular dream--until God says so. And if He does, He will give you a better dream.

As you stand a prisoner of hope, choose joy--because God is with you in the prison. If you are tempted to run away, stay and wait patiently. Remember Joseph's example. He chose to learn, work and excel in his confinement. Look for God-ordained opportunities. Believe that God will give you twice as much victory as you expect. It's not iffy. It's a promise.

If you are a Christian in the talent industry, you are prisoner of hope! You may be singing, dancing, acting or modeling on a smaller stage than you'd like. You may look out at a bigger stage and long to perform there.

The pace and place of your double fulfillment will be decided by God. Trust Him.

Turn your back on dream haters, but never on your dreams. Remain a prisoner of hope.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
