Proverbs For Performers (Part 99)
Bold As A Lion
The wicked flee when no one is pursuing,
But the righteous are bold as a lion.*
Proverbs 28:1 (NASB)
See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed.
Revelation 5:5 (NIV)
I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
Matthew 16:18 (NASB)
Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.
2 Corinthians 3:12 (NIV)
Actors, models and talent for Christ, I am confident in your boldness. Because your time of overcoming was sealed in the victory of Christ. The devil may roar like a lion, and he surely prowls like a lion, but our Lord declawed and defanged him by His sacrifice on the Cross.

Because when Christ was at His weakest, the Lord of Hosts was at His strongest, 'For it is He Who shall tread down our enemies' (Psalm 108:13). 'Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them' (Colossians 2:15). Only one true Lion reigns on earth: The Lion of the tribe of Judah.

The image of the ruling lion also shows up in entertainment. From MGM to Lionsgate Films, from noble Aslan in Narnia (clearly symbolic of King Jesus) to the cowardly lion in Oz (cleverly casting him a weakling), lions symbolize authority.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: The looming threat of Satan's paw prints are only vanishing indentions: scratch marks in shifting sand soon to go. The sad state of a church in hiding from the foe Christ visibly vanquished... is a publicly harmful mistake.

When Satan staked a media claim, he lured countless millions to his cause. When Christians raised a flag of defeat, they acknowledged his sovereignty. Then they raised crosses on big buildings, hunkered down and got comfortable. They ignored all the bewildered fans, who in chasing joy, became so lost.

Now you're called to witness for the Lord: to enter into Satan's labor, that God will reap where He did not sow. So be bold in the kingship of Christ. Be bold in love, joy, peace and kindness. Be bold in the talents you invest, multiply and magnify for Him.

Your boldness will encourage your kin and attract outsiders to God's cause: reunion and life everlasting.
