Without doubt, the Book of Proverbs abounds with a harvest God desires you to have. If you plant and tend His Seeds of wisdom, then you'll watch a wondrous life develop. Plus, the people most beloved to you are invited to your banquet table.
Like fishes and loaves, great food never stops. You always have room for hungry guests, and the Joy in your presence changes lives.
Among outsiders, envy for God grows, as they long for the blessings you possess. But unlike the world, you long to share them, and the Good News of God expands greatly.
Actors, models and talent for Christ: How can you cultivate these precious Seeds that sparkle like jewels in the dirt? As they spring up, they're more delightful. When they flower, they're lovely to see. When they bear fruit, they're scrumptious to eat.
Can you spread this wealth in media? Certainly! Please consider these thoughts:
God's Word (Jesus) embodies His Seed. Through faith's profession, He is planted. Next, wisdom begins to grow in you. You tend wisdom with Living Water and conscientious cultivation; earnest prayer and daily study.
As God's Spirit grows strong in you, your talents become wisdom's flowers: stunning performances to witness. Your behavior becomes wisdom's fruit:* surprising nourishment to refresh.** Therein, the harvest for God is great.
You become exuberant farmers. Your fans become healthy consumers.
## Proverbs For Performers: Reaping From Wisdom (Part 16)
* 'The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law' (Galatians 5:22-23).
** More benefits from wisdom. Actually, wisdom's benefits are listed throughout Proverbs and the entire Bible, but check out a few more: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=pro+4%3A7-10%2C+20-23&version=NKJV
NOTE: This is a republished edit of a 2016 devotion series, 'Proverbs For Performers.' You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Every disciple in every field performs for Christ. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.' Mostly true. But you're not 'merely players.' You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
