Psalm 37: Hearing From Heaven (Part 8)
Seeing God's Work
For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more... The enemies of the Lord, like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away.
Psalm 37:10,20 (NKJV)
I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread... For the Lord loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever.
Psalm 37:25,28 (NKJV)
When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a native green tree. Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more; Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found. Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace.
Psalm 37:34-37 (NKJV)
Without a doubt, God desires to see not only our faith, but also our works--because 'Faith without works is dead' (James 2:20). We must work in the orchard of our faith to bear fruit.

At the same time, we desire to see not only God's Word, but also Its fulfillment in our lives: both for justice and for joy--that they may believe in God 'Because of the works themselves' (John 14:11). So we can say: 'Come and see the works of God Who is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men' (Psalm 66:5).

'They shall come and see My glory' (Isaiah 66:18).

Actors, models and talent for Christ: you are God's glory. You are His brilliant illumination. 'You are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts' (2 Corinthians 3:3).

God is working through you like never before. A massive casting call has been issued: His stars are coming in like rivers of righteousness to wash through media. His stars are rising up like rays of light to shine in darkness--not to expose what is bad, but to uncover Who is good.

Actors, models and talent for Christ, you will see miracles, signs and wonders in the days ahead. Others will see them, too--and choose to walk toward their Source.

To Be Continued...

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
