Behold, I am coming quickly...
They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
Recess-ion, the devil's play period, is coming to a speedy conclusion. Many wise Christians believe we're almost there.
21st-century signs and wonders are clear for anyone who cares to look. In the physical realm, amazing inventions define our lives in ways that would astound our ancestors: things truly helpful and deeply harmful.
In the spiritual realm, the Bible lists end-times signs, and many have occurred. Spectacular shows of good and evil, of right and wrong, are plainly evident.
Satan is increasingly desperate. His moves are less subtle, more obvious. Modern media's glamorization of naughty behavior is a preview.
Wars and its victims break sympathetic hearts, yet the huge number of casualties stupify our senses. How can we help? (Keep reading...)
On a different front, people who seem healthy and thriving are not. They're depressed. They suffer recess-ions of cash and hope.
At the same time, we're told not to worry- not to buy into Satan's recession through debt or doubt that presses on the heart. The world's economy isn't our bank. 'Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord' (2 Corinthians 6:17).
Jesus sent you and me into this world, even the entertainment industry, to represent Him and surely save lives, because 'Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them' (John 7:38).
To heed this urgent cause, walk straight through fear. As Joshua was told at least seven times (three in Deuteronomy 31, four in Joshua 1)...before facing wars for the Promised Land, 'Only be strong and very courageous' (Joshua 1:7).
You are guaranteed life here and beyond. Nevertheless, the ultimate battle for the true Promised Land is upon us. Onward and upward via media!
## Recess-ion's End (Part 3, Conclusion)
NOTE: This is a 2021 update of a 2011 Carey Lewis Devotion. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
