Self-Examination (Part 40)
Mouth: Your Answer
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in It day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in It. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)
Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105 (NASB)
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16 (NASB)
If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
John 15:7 (NASB)
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect...
1 Peter 3:15 (NIV)
On the tip of your tongue is the Answer: the Reason for the hope that anchors you; the Rock beneath the sand of stormy seas; the Compass Who maintains a steady course; the Captain Who Orders the waves to cease; the Star Who shines in earth's darkest moments; the Banner Who rallies all the nations; the Master Who teaches saints how to fish.

Because if your mouth could be called a boat, and if your tongue could be called a rudder, then only Christ can keep you from drifting and correct your direction when you do.

Because He is the absolute Answer to the questions every person should ask: regarding birth, death and what happens next--regarding Who, what, when, where, why and how to navigate life's turbulent currents.

Because the best self-examination includes our mouth's cross-examination.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: Wise actors strive to master their mouths to become top communicators: publicists for themselves and their shows. Success is the answer they desire.

You, too, must become your mouths' masters: to gain success and use it for Christ; to be His top communicators: publicists for the kingdom of God. To show Him as the only Answer and the one Success destined to last.
