Self-Examination (Part 44)
Head: The False Head
And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.

Revelation 12:3 (NKJV)
The serpent said to the woman, 'You surely will not die!'

Genesis 3:4 (NASB)
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.

Genesis 3:15 (NIV)*
No matter if he's using seven heads, no matter if he's wearing seven crowns...

'The ruler of this world' (John 12:31) is a false head, because he's also 'The father of lies' (John 8:44). He's the worst domineering dictator, and he's the best captivating conman. He's the leader of a pack of bullies, who rules by fear and intimidation.

Today, he's the slickest guy in banking, who profits by theft disguised as business. He's the fisherman of little children, hooking, then discarding their innocence. He's the promoter of heroine chic, making gaunt seem cool on skinny models. He's the pharmaceutical billionaire, hawking prescriptions to control our lives. He's the celebrity plastic surgeon, cutting and pasting bodies and faces. He's the CEO of entertainment, hypnotizing fans into pseudo lives.

Actors, models and talent for Christ, here's the thing about deception's don: He delights in making bad look good. The Lord said millennia ago:

'Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter' (Isaiah 5:20); 'These men say that night is day; they claim that the darkness is light' (Job 17:12); 'Those who turn justice into bitterness and cast righteousness to the ground' (Amos 5:7); 'They spout empty words and make covenants they don't intend to keep' (Hosea 10:4); 'Therefore justice comes out perverted' (Habakkuk 1:4).

Actors, models and talent for Christ: The more time you spend looking at lies, the more likely you are to buy them. Therefore, avoid Satan's devices. But if you're working in media, the hype of false heads is everywhere. Christ gave us a clue in His Prayer:

'My prayer is not that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the evil one' (John 17:15). So continue your La La Land work, but spend lots of time at home in Christ. He will renew and refresh your mind, because His is the only True Head.
