Self-Examination (Part 61)
Mind: United In Christ
These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

Acts 1:14 (NASB)
Now I exhort you, brethren, by the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 1:10 (NASB)
Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

2 Corinthians 13:11 (NASB)
Standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the Gospel.

Philippians 1:27 (NASB)
I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in Me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as You and I are One--as You are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us so that the world will believe you sent Me.

John 17:20-21 (NLT)
The opposite of mob mentality are like-minded saints united in Christ. The former are hell-bent on destruction. The latter are God-sent for salvation. But in both cases, unity is key, because a house divided cannot stand. Nor can a cast divided get air time... if they can't work together on the set.

In the last Prayer of Jesus, the Man, right before the greatest act of His Life, right before His unparalleled climax, right before His glorious departure, He asked God, the Ultimate Director, to keep His supporting cast united, since they would rise behind Him as new stars.

Please note the reason for His strong request: 'So that the world will believe you sent Me.' In other words, helping earth's future fans believe the greatest story ever told and the greatest Hero Who ever lived; helping them see They're both Truth, not fiction--depends on a united cast and crew.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: Denominational bickering is rampant among Christians today. They fail to rise above petty feuds. They fail God's tests of humility. Therefore, they fail to show Jesus well. Yet a remnant unite in Spirit. A remnant fulfill His last Prayer, and you stand among this key remnant.

This email is numbered 61. So look at Isaiah 60:1. Then look at Chapter 61, too.* Coincidences do not exist. The Lord is fully intentional.** Your destiny is to rise and shine.

Just be sure to hold hands as you do, because casting stones is Satan's work.

To Be Continued...

* Isaiah 60:1:

* Isaiah 61:

** I don't recognize God's meaning in all numbers or occurrences, but I got one glimpse today. Yay!

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
