Stage Names (Part 15, Conclusion)
You Are Mine
Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.
Isaiah 43:1 (NKJV)
God's names for us reveal our truest identities. This AMTC 'Stage Names' series is just a snapshot. The real list, the names personalized for you, awaits you in His Word.

Admittedly, when I'm in the midst of a crisis or see the world as a terrible mess, I am tempted to plead with Jesus to come back right now.

From His first disciples until today, many Christ followers have expected His imminent return. So, why has he waited over 2000 years? Serious Jews who don't recognize Jesus have been waiting on the Messiah even longer.

I believe He is waiting on His Gospel to touch every person on the face of this earth--so that each individual will have a good choice. If God has set before us 'Life and death, blessing and cursing' and urges us to 'Choose life' (Deuteronomy 30:19), if God 'Desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth' (1 Timothy 2:4), then actors, models, and talent for Christ carry His truth through entertainment.

Consider that in both Greek (pneuma) and Hebrew (ruach) the word for 'spirit' means 'breath or wind.' Therefore, couldn't the Holy Spirit travel perfectly on the airwaves of media?

In this light, please meditate on some of God's stage names for you: Chip off The Rock, Salt of the Earth, Light of the World, Beautiful, Priest, Conqueror, Servant, Called, Chosen, and Faithful, Citizen of Heaven, Christian, and Saint.

In these names are star qualities, including strength, stability, beauty, versatility, preserving power, flavor, illumination, victory over darkness, leadership skills, radiance, fitness, nearness to God, gifted communication, battle savvy, fearlessness, victory over enemies, compassion, humility, attention to detail, whole-heartedness, joy, purpose, anointing, loyalty, family status, an inheritance, protection, freedom, peace, suffering, love, goodness, patience, sweet fellowship, and answered prayer.

Let Christ in you have His way. Your star is born in Him.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
