Success Strategies: Action
Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
Matthew 4:18-20 (NKJV)
Jesus was an action Hero, and we're called to be action heroes, too. 'Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children' (Ephesians 5:1, NKJV).

The word 'immediately' appears 80 times in the Gospels (NKJV). Most often, it describes the action of His followers. When He called, they came--immediately. Where He went, they followed--immediately. What He commanded, they did--immediately.

Sitting was not an option: 'Rise, take up your bed and walk' (John 5:8, NKJV).

Procrastination was not an option: ' 'Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.' But Jesus said to him, 'No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God' ' (Luke 9:61-62, NKJV)

Selective obedience was not an option: 'One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.' But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions' (Mark 10:21-22, NKJV).*

God is all about whole hearts, right now and today: 'Do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed' (Romans 13:11, NKJV).

'Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation' (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Bench sitters and home dwellers will succeed neither in the Kingdom of God nor in the kingdom of entertainment.

God promotes people of action. Therein, action is a success strategy.
