Success Strategies: Kindness
'With a little wrath I hid My Face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,' Says the Lord, your Redeemer.
Isaiah 54:8 (NKJV)
Kindness travels easily,
Because smiles cannot be bound.
Kindness enjoys connecting.
It's where helping hands are found.

Kindness sees lonely people.
It makes new friends everywhere.
Kindness rolls back apathy,
likes a tomb exposed to air.

Kindness likes to exercise.
Daily workouts lead to health.
Kindness has no want or lack,
And it loves to share its wealth.

Kindness walks the narrow path
Along with faith, hope and light.
Lost sheep begin to follow,
As false shepherds flee in fright.

Kindness tends to prisoners
And the homeless on dark streets.
Kindness gets down and dirty.
It's not scared of washing feet.

Kindness is never partial,
Except toward those in need.
Kindness cooks and starts a search
For despairing souls to feed.

Kindness is a soothing voice
That quiets an angry man.
Kindness is an attitude
That says, 'I will,' and 'I can.'

Kindness speaks a thousand tongues.
It's known in every nation.
Kindness is a flag of peace
For all of God's creation.

Kindness is God's gift to men
To be spread by His request.
Kindness came to life in Christ.
God gives nothing but His Best.

So learn the way of kindness
From The One Who set the pace.
That you might one day join Him,
At the pearly gate of grace.

Kindness found in media
Is not standard behavior.
Could that be why God now sends
His stand-ins for the Savior?

So help kindness take the field,
By your willingness to lead,
As the Lord's kindest actors,
You are destined to succeed.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
