The Enemy's Game: Countermeasures--Identity
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
He who is joined to the Lord is one Spirit with Him.
1 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV)
In Whom we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 1:14 (NKJV)
Thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57 (NKJV)
Noah became God's sea-worthy captain.
Abraham became His chief pioneer.
Jacob became God's big family man.
Leah became His most wanted woman.
Joseph became the leader he dreamed of.
Tamar became a widow of substance.
Moses became a prince and a shepherd.
Joshua became his brave successor.
Rahab became a notable lady.
Samson became weak to best show God's strength.
Ruth became King David's great grandmother.
David became Israel's greatest king.
Jeremiah became a survivor.
Elijah became a deathless prophet.
Job became his season's biggest winner.

They all became God's come-from-behind stars. His triumph became their identity.*

Actors, models and talent for Christ: Your identity is tied into Christ, so don't buy Satan's phony labels.

If he makes you believe you're worthless (trying to prevent your destiny)... consider this Enemy Plan B.

Because you become what you believe.

If he makes you believe you're hot stuff (trying to pump you up with false pride), consider this Enemy Plan A.

Because pride surely leads to a fall.

Your goal must not be shiny trophies, but the light of His Son's legacy.**

And 'We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same Image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord' (2 Corinthians 3:18, NKJV).

NOTE: This series is a republished edit of a 2015 devotion series called, 'The Enemy's Game.' You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you're not a performer, don't be deterred. In truth, every disciple acts for Christ, models Christ and stewards His talents.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
