The Enemy's Game: Countermeasures--Peace
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
John 16:33 (NKJV)
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Matthew 5:9 (NKJV)
If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
Romans 12:18 (NKJV)
Seek peace and pursue it.
1 Peter 3:11 (NKJV)
Make every effort to live in peace with everyone...
Hebrews 12:14 (NIV)
Surely Satan promotes chaos, conflict, confusion and cacophony. Judging by wars and rumors of wars, the enemy seems to be winning.
Surely our 'Wonderful Counselor' (Isaiah 9:6) promotes calm, clarity and concert. Judging by His perfect victory, the enemy has no chance at all.
But if Jesus is the 'Prince of peace' (Isaiah 9:6), why did He bring a Sword* to the earth?
To separate prayer from pretense?
To cut away church hypocrisy?
To penetrate the hardest of hearts?
To force the devil into retreat?
If the Lord's Word can cut like a sword,** what does peace on earth look like to men?
Actors, models and talent for Christ! You're the reflectors of peace on earth. From the notable light in your eyes, to the genuine smile on your lips; from encouraging words springing forth, to compassionate arms reaching out...
From commissioned feet stepping forward with a compelling message of hope: peace that surpasses understanding is one of your greatest directions.
Wars and rumors of wars may threaten your home, job, school, body or nation, but Jesus has overcome them all:
'A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you' (Psalm 91:7, NKJV).
'Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all' (2 Thessalonians 3:16, NKJV).
## The Enemy's Game: Countermeasures--Peace (Part 71)
