The Enemy's Game: Countermeasures--Wisdom*
Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV)
A man's wisdom makes his face shine...
Ecclesiastes 8:1 (NKJV)
If God says wisdom is the principle thing, if Jesus, the Man, personified wisdom, if wise people are depicted as brilliant...

If our Lord is called 'The Sun of righteousness' (Malachi 4:2, NKJV), 'The Bright and Morning Star' (Revelation 22:16, NKJV) and 'The Light of men' (John 1:4), then light and wisdom join forces in Jesus.

If only one Gospel event describes Him: a transfigured Man Whose 'Face shone like the sun' (Matthew 17:2, NKJV),**

If He's portrayed again in Revelation, when 'His Countenance was like the sun shining' (Revelation 1:16, NKJV),*** then God's wisdom is seen in His radiance.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: Among the Commandments God gave us, the Ones Jesus reaffirmed on earth, His wisdom is irrefutable; 'No one could say a word in reply' (Matthew 22:46, NIV), because 'The Light shines in the darkness' (John 1:5, NKJV), and wisdom carries enlightenment.

Like our King, shining is your game plan. Certainly, God's talents are good bait: reflective lures cast in media.

Certainly, the glory isn't yours. At best, you act as His reflector. Certainly, spotlights are surface stuff. Real enlightenment is personal, and it's found in your godly wisdom:

Giving good answers to tough questions, delivered with kind humility. This wisdom only comes from above: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Meet them in the Bible and grow wise.

## The Enemy's Game: Countermeasures--Wisdom (Part 46)

* Wisdom has nothing to do with IQ or academic achievement. Consider a previous devotion, Intellectual Snobs:

** The Transfiguration of Jesus is found in:
Matthew 17:1-9,;
Mark 9:2-8:
Luke 9:28-36:

*** Revelation 1:12-16:; Revelation 19:12-15:

NOTE: This series is a republished edit of a 2015 devotion series called, 'The Enemy's Game.' You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you're not a performer, don't be deterred. In truth, every disciple acts for Christ, models Christ and stewards His talents.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
