The Enemy's Game (Part 30)
Tactics: Disobedience
If you will indeed obey My Voice and keep My Covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people.
Exodus 19:5 (NKJV)
If you love Me, keep My Commandments.
John 14:15 (NKJV)
So that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me.
John 14:31 (NASB)
Why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say?
Luke 6:46 (NKJV)
Regarding modern day morality, we live in a culture of lawlessness. Each man decides what's 'Right in his own eyes' (Judges 21:25). The Book of Judges concludes on this theme. Will it also be our closing number? Not unless we sign on to Satan's show, which encourages disobedience.

Bible believers know God gives strict Rules, and He expects our heartfelt adherence. But do all of His Orders still apply? When Moses spent so much time with the Lord, he didn't just receive Ten Commandments, but 603 more to follow.*

Didn't Jesus simplify our Play Book? Old Testament Christians may not think so. Still others haven't paused to consider.

I believe Christ fulfilled what we could not. Being sinless, He obeyed every Rule. Then He refined Them and became our Rule.** His simplifications were meant for kids, because getting small again is the plan.*** So consider our simplified Orders, and obey Them with everything you've got.

' 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great Commandment. And the Second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets' (Matthew 22:37-40).****

Actors, models and talent for Christ: I think you already know your part. But practicing these Rules is vital. One Day God will judge our resumes. He wants to see our obedience, evidenced by our work in the field.

**** I fully realize the New Testament, as the inspired Word of God, has additional Rules and Orders. While I'm not perfect in Their adherence, nor understand Them completely, I believe Them. That being said, I also believe the heart of God's Commandment is love. When left with a choice to love or to judge the disobedience of others, I choose love. I believe God's Spirit is the best Teacher and He's the right Judge. When we condemn the sins of outsiders, we lead them away from the desire to commit to God, and therein receive His Spirit. In terms of judging insiders, our corrections (however large or small) must be Spirit-led, humble and kind.
