The Enemy's Game (Part 38)
Tactics: Insufficiency
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 23:4-6 (KJV)
If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
Matthew 17:20 (NASB)
When Paul said, 'I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me' (Philippians 4:13), he wasn't talking about certain things or easy things. Paul faced hard things, like hunger, beatings, shipwrecks and prison.* He witnessed Jesus in all things, especially tough ones.

Where did Paul find this strength? 'Our sufficiency is from God' (2 Corinthians 3:5). When we pause to reflect, Paul's best work came under pressure. Because heroes rise and shine in life's greatest challenges. I believe media is challenging man's faith in God.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: Insufficiency is Satan's lie. He'll do anything to keep you home, to dress you in Pampers or Depends, to roll you in strollers or busses, to convince you you're inadequate, to cover you with his sneaky lines, to further his team's winning record.

I declare Satan's lies null and void. I pray that you say, 'Amen, amen.' God has cast you to stand up for Him: to bring His Light to entertainment. No force on hell or earth can stop you: no demon, no person, no nothing.

Except your willful resignation, except your fearful stepping away, except your agreement with demons, except your acceptance of these lies:

1) Staying home is safer than going.
2) God will not be with your every step.
3) Let other people risk their comfort.
4) Jesus is insufficient in you.

No! You'll be strong and of good courage: 'For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us' (2 Corinthians 1:20).

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
