Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He Who promised is faithful.
If 'Faith is the substance of things hoped for' (Hebrews 11:1), if we serve 'The God of hope' (Romans 15:13), Who gives us 'A future and a hope' (Jeremiah 29:11), if 'He caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ' (1 Peter 1:3), then hope is foundational.
If we love Jesus, 'Who is our hope' (1 Timothy 1:1), if 'We were saved in this hope' (Romans 8:23), if we have 'The hope of eternal life, which God, Who cannot lie, promised' (Titus 1:2), if 'We have this hope as an anchor for the soul' (Hebrews 6:19), if 'Hope does not disappoint' (Romans 5:5), then hope is lifesaving.
If we must face envious, dream-hating kin (like Joseph did), if we must humble ourselves repeatedly (like Moses did), if we must wait years for our dream's fulfillment (like David did), if we must rise in the enemy's kingdom (like Esther did), if we must carry our crosses up hard hills (like Jesus did), then hope is essential.
Actors, models and talent for Christ: No matter what bad things may happen, don't bury your hope in Satan's pit. Don't 'Grieve like the rest... who have no hope' (1 Thessalonians 4:13).
If tough circumstances surround you, you're being set up like a hero. When the audience is watching you, when most people expect you to fall, beat the devil and show off your King. Hang tough--in bound and determined hope.*
'Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you' (Zechariah 9:12).
'May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit' (Romans 15:13).

* 'I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe' (Ephesians 1:18).
Actors, models and talent for Christ: 'For who is our hope or joy or crown of exultation? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? For you are our glory and joy' (1 Thessalonians 2:19-20).
