The Enemy's Game (Part 7)
Tactics: Theft
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.
John 10:10 (NASB)
When anyone hears the Word of the kingdom and does not understand It, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom Seed was sown beside the road.
Matthew 13:19 (NASB)
Note the order of the enemy's game plan: first to steal, next to kill and last to destroy. Therefore, actors, models and talent for Christ must learn the modern twists of his ancient cons.

If Satan's first tactic is to rob us blind, understand this: his target isn't our stuff. In his final days as the god of this world, he's got more gold and silver than we can count.

His preferred target is our eternal life. 'The angel of the abyss' (Revelation 9:11) wants us with him, in an abysmal, bottomless pit called hell. Thereupon, he steals God's crowning joy: mankind.

But when believers are saved by faith in Jesus, if he can't steal our lives, he'll settle for our light. In other words, he wants Christians undercover. He'll snuggle us up in churches with roofs and walls; he'll run us around in circles of ceaseless chores.

He'll tie us down with material possessions; he'll blind us with manmade lights and personal goals; he'll surround us with faithless friends and family; he'll convince us that a mission trip is enough. But it's not. We've been called to be missionaries.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: You are a city set on a hill. You are God's light in a darkened world. You are the lamp refusing its shade. By Command, you enter media, and the devil cannot steal your role.

If anyone tries to hide your light, smile very brightly and move forward.
