The Enemy's Game: Tactics--Arrogance
And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
Matthew 23:12 (NKJV)
For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
2 Corinthians 10:12 (NKJV)
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with Whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
James 1:17 (NKJV)
Actors, models and talent for Christ:

Imagine a fast-paced intellect, getting the point and learning quickly.

Imagine a strong, healthy body, moving in beautiful precision.

Imagine a voice like an angel, playing the chords of an audience.

Imagine the face of a model, inviting stares and attention.

Imagine the power of a star, inspiring countless fans to follow.

Now imagine: All these gifts are yours!

The Lord has given you great talents, and He expects you to invest them: to accrue interest in His game plan, to bring glory to His Son, Jesus.

But the devil has a game plan, too. He wants you to bring him interest, to give glory to his dreams and schemes, to twist God's talents to his purpose and pretend you're their rightful owner. So he covers you with compliments. Soon, you begin to believe your hype.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: Don't fall in the pit of arrogance. It's disguised with plenty of mirrors. As you reflect upon your splendor, gazing at your lovely images, one day the mirrors will crack and break.

The weight of pride invites disaster.

The way to defeat Satan's grand scheme, the scheme entertainment has embraced... is to constantly humble yourself. Choose humble people as your best friends and give to God the credit He's due.
