The Right Movement
Rise, He is calling you.
Mark 10:49 (NKJV)
Today's Verse points to blind Bartemeus. He was bold and would not be quieted.

When Bartemeus heard Jesus was there, 'He began to cry out and say, 'Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!' Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more' (Mark 10:47-48).

Millions of people now cry out for light. Like the blind man, they won't be quieted. They form a movement, God's movement of light, and it will be bigger than anything we've known since Jesus came here as a Man.

We recognize hypocrites and phonies, a.k.a. truth stealers called spinmeisters. Such spinners follow their leader, King Con, the father of lies, a.k.a. Satan.

The source of the spinning is media. It's filled with lovely stars and shiny webs. Searching souls stick on their super-slick lines. They're blinded by fast-flashing messages.

God's light-filled performers may feel alone, like Bartemeus or John the Baptist, as 'The voice of one crying in the wilderness' (Matthew 3:3), but you're not alone. You unite in Christ.

Individually, you step forward. Together, your uprising can't be stopped.

Actors, Models & Talent for Christ, you're the crest of a wave starting to break on the sandy shores of entertainment.

If you're tempted to fear, 'Only be strong and of good courage' (Joshua 1:18). God is the wind and power behind you. Jesus is the Star going before you, and the Holy Spirit gives you counsel.

Rejoice! Then do what Bartemeus did; 'Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road' (Mark 10:52).

Behind your Leader, YOU'RE the right movement.

## The Right Movement

NOTE: This is a 2021 update of a 2011 Carey Lewis Devotion. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
