The Wave
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:2 (KJV)
The movement of actors, models, and talent for Christ comes as a wave, and it grows with the passion of God's performers. It's bigger than a sound wave, though its music is beautiful. It's aimed at the entertainment industry, but it will cover the entire earth. It is a tidal wave; It is Christ. It is clean, and It is good.

Tidal waves start in the deep of the ocean. They begin when the earth moves beneath the sea. The earth is moving now, and the water that comes with this movement will clean, baptize, and prepare us. As John the Baptist said, 'I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit' (Mark 1:8).

Not all people know they need Jesus. Few of today's stars credit God for their talent; however, when it comes to movies, television, magazines, and the path of wandering stars, even those who have not seen Christ see the sickness. 'Darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples' (Isaiah 60:2).

Yet, the clear revelation of darkness is good, because people seek light and truth. They seek health. As it is written, 'He makes the deep boil like a pot; He makes the sea like a pot of ointment' (Job 41:31). The darkened world calls for the light, and God's tidal wave cures.

Smaller waves are hitting the shore, with the success of movies like "COURAGEOUS" and "Soul Surfer," with stars like Tyler Perry, The Jonas Brothers, and Chris Young. God's waves are hitting fashion, music, theater, comedy, and film.

Thus, let us ride His wave with joy, while the wind blows around us.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
