All this I have told you so that you will not fall away.
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
As actors, models and talent for Christ, become wise in the ways of Jesus and cunning in the ways of the world.
Do you think your enemy, 'The Prince of the power of the air' (Ephesians 2:2), wants to see you on his airwaves? Certainly not. 'Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour' (1 Peter 5:8).
If he can't devour you because you are 'God's elect' (Romans 8:33), he seeks to devour your witness.
If he can't tempt you to compromise God's standard--'Declare among the nations, proclaim, and set up a standard' (Jeremiah 50:2)--he will tempt you to quit. God says, 'Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My Soul has no pleasure in him' (Hebrews 10:38).
Because millions of God's children are lost. They roam our confusing world defenseless--without knowing the 'Great Shepherd' (Hebrews 13:20), Whom you represent.
Or they charge against our evil world in defiance--as rebels without a cause. But remember, 'The Son of man came to seek and save those who are lost' (Luke 19:10). That includes both fans and felons in the entertainment industry.
Have I painted a depressing picture of the state of media and your path within it? I intend the opposite. The 'Father of Lights' (James 1:17) has appointed you to be His stars on this earth:
'You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven' (Matthew 5:14-16).
By Jesus, you are not depressed, but uplifted.
