To The End (Part 3, Conclusion)
And you will be hated by all for My Name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
Matthew 10:22, Mark 13:13 (NKJV)
For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.
Hebrews 3:14 (NKJV)
But Christ as a Son over His Own house, Whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
Hebrews 3:6 (NKJV)
Here's the tough news: 'Hated by all' is the opposite of what any performer might seek. In our heads, we picture boos, heckling, and Simon Cowell with a smug smile saying, 'You're absolutely dreadful.' Kill those thoughts now. God forbids them. The only ones who will hate you are enemy troops--and you're on the winning side.
So, remember five things: 1) As God's appointed, Satan cannot touch you. 2) The king of media can throw obstacles in your path, and he will. 3) God allows tough going to test you, to refine you, and to strengthen you. 4) Your success is guaranteed, but it will be on God's terms (which are better than yours anyway). 5) Don't quit.
In order to achieve your starring roles on stages large and small, remember three words: 'To the end.' God doesn't reward quitters.
So whatever obstacles come your way--like losing a part, waiting 'too' long, enduring dream haters, sacrificing your comfort, battling your flesh, doubting your talent, or fearing a failure...
Whatever temptations come your way--like easy parts, easy places, easy thrills, or familiar faces, stay on the path God has placed you. Have faith in His star power, and by reflection, your own. If you quit, your breakout role may have come one day, one month, one year, or one hard step away.
Therefore, hold your course to the end.
So like Paul and Timothy, you can say, 'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith' (2 Timothy 4:7).
So like Jesus, you can say, 'It is finished!' (John 19:30).
Because God says, 'For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come. It will not tarry' (Habakkuk 2:3).
Actors, models, and talent for Christ: fulfill your destiny.
