True Blood (Part 3, Conclusion)
Avoid The Temptation To Cheapen True Blood
He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
John 6:56 (NKJV)
Today, hot hellions seduce us in shows like True Blood, Twilight, Buffy, Angel, and Blade. Count Dracula thrilled us and then he killed us--sucking the innocence away from God's children.
Media monsters morph and multiply. They are the dead darlings of cinema... pulling even Christians into their frenzy of fans.
The black hole of occult entertainment grows like a beautiful cancer, like Sirens in 'The Odyssey' who sing a great song but eat you alive. Even kids. Delightfully devious Disney is running 'My Babysitter's A Vampire' to woo our wee ones into blood sports.
Tag lines for the hit show include: 'There's more to me than fighting and biting,' and 'My spells sure can kick vampire butt.'
Vampires and occult heroes cheapen true blood. They mock Holy Communion. They mock Jesus. But 'Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption' (Galatians 6:7-8).
'But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts' (Jude 1:17-18).
Actors, models, and talent for Christ: Do not glorify evil. Don't gossip about ghouls. Don't dignify the dead.
Hold a higher standard. True blood belongs to Jesus. And to His faithful followers.
