Who Do People Say That I Am? (Part 5, Conclusion)
Looking Like Christ
If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:31-32 (NKJV)
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same Image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NKJV)
Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the Word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2 Corinthians 4:1-2 (NKJV)
Looking like Christ is the hardest thing I've ever done--except to live without Him. Because to look like Christ I have to act like Christ. That's His plan. God decreed it. By Him, we are transformed--even to look like Jesus to a dying world. Because our world is dying.

Children are dying to look like the stars they idolize. Teens are dying to act like them, getting addicted and man-handled without defenders. Parents are denying it all--confused by the gods of this age. Happiness is measured in dollars without sense, and Satan smiles without ceasing.

Except for you. Except when you act like Christ. Except when you stand up to bullies. Except when you help the helpless. Except when you speak the truth. Except when you love instead of hate.

Except when you move with passion and precision into the mission field of media. Because media has become Satan's stomping ground--under the guise of entertainment. Except when you are an actor, model and talent for Christ.

So we do not lose heart. Instead, we take it. Because He gave us His Heart freely. Then we show It off to everyone we can--especially when it's hard.

Because that's when we look like Christ. If God can make me occasionally, but increasingly, look like Him, He can make anybody into a star. So that others might say, 'She's different. What's her story?' Because our stories are His story.

Through the witness of actors, models and talent for Christ, millions upon millions of lost and prodigal children will be brought into the Kingdom of God. It is happening now. So hold tight to your dream and become famous for God. Wherever He places you, no matter how slowly or how fast, no matter how small a stage or how large, your appearance matters.

As for media being Satan's stomping ground? That's old news. Because 'The God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly' (Romans 16:20). Whose feet? Your feet. And 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things' (Romans 10:15).

That's who people say that you are.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
